New updates for our Bowls Website
There’s been a few changes on our bowls website over the last month.
Check them out when you can.
New menu items have been added
- Green-Keepers Utility – This helps our green-keepers check the expected numbers for the day and allocate the required number of greens/rinks.
- Virtual Lawn Bowls App – When you can’t get outside, there’s always virtual lawn bowls!
- Most menus include sub-menus to help you navigate through the website.
Club Championships
- All Club Championship Entries are online, using Google Forms.
- A form has been created to Reschedule Your Match. Conditions do apply so make sure you understand what these are. The green-keepers can view this form as well.
- All draws and results will be available to view online.
Social Bowls
- Social Bowlers may enter online with the ability to edit their team. An email address is required.
- Wednesday and Friday Bowls require an outside check in as the club does not open till 11:00am
- Saturday Bowls can now be run close to what it was in the past. Conditions of Entry do apply when entering the club.
Roll Ups
- As of Thursday 6th August, bookings will no longer be required.
- Bowlers must follow the guidelines that are in place.
It’s been extremely difficult trying to get bowlers on the green, and keep them safe in a COVID 19 environment.
Restrictions and Conditions have been put in place to keep us all safe. Yes, some of them are inconvenient but this is minor compared to what could result if we don’t follow our COVID Plan.
As we continue forward, I’d like to take the opportunity to thank our bowlers for “doing the right thing” through this entire process. “Keep on keeping on” and I’m sure we’ll all get through this together.
Thank You to our Bowls Committees for doing your best to keep us safe. It can’t be easy, especially when you’re targeted with complaints from the ignorant.
My respect and admiration goes out to our Management and Board. Hard decisions had to be made and actions put in place to help us get through. I thank you for that.
I thank the bowlers who have expressed their appreciation and support for the work that I do. It means a lot to me.
