ROUND 2 – OPEN PENNANT TEAMS
Round 2 commences Saturday 10th February. This weeks teams are listed below.
Grade 1 have a bye this week and all players are encouraged to support our other grades where possible.
Pennant players should arrive at the venue club with enough time to have a practice. All practice should be completed by 12:30pm with the cards called shortly after.
All players are reminded to confirm their selection by placing a tick next to their name. Please notify the selectors immediately if you become unavailable for any reason.
Organise your transport early to avoid problems on game day!
If you have concerns regarding your selection, please contact the selectors to arrange a meeting.
If you become unavailable throughout the season, please place you name on the unavailability list for the specific date/round and notify the selectors. The list is located at the club.
A message from Zone 16
Just a word of caution when dropping players now that we are using Bowlslink.
It is very difficult to check for players who may have been dropped against the rules in Bowlslink. Using the recording sheets was a lot easier to check. Usually we had that done within 2 days.
However, using Bowlslink is very time consuming and it may be that we will not have all checks done before you play again. This could result in multiple loss of points as any offence no matter when it is found, has the same penalties.
My suggestion is that when you are dropping players, if you are in any doubt, you send the proposal to me before the game is played. Under Bowlslink you do not have to use game sheets on the day and in Rd 1 only about 1/3 of clubs did game sheets.
Next season there will be no game sheets on the day, once all clubs are up to speed with using Bowlslink.
