2021 Mixed Fours Championship
Our 2021 Mixed Fours Championship has been completed with the Final played in blustery conditions on Friday 18th Feb.
Well done to everyone, and thank you for your participation and support. The Mixed Fours is normally held during the end of the year however, with the COVID 19 lockdowns in the later half of 2021, all championships had to be rescheduled. 12 teams entered the 2021 Championship with some excellent bowls played throughout the rounds. Worth a mention is the team of Dee Gracie, Helen Miller, Don Lowe and Geoff Honeycombe, taking this years winners to an extra end and going down by 1 shot. Well done!
Congratulations to Irene Wade, Marlene Sharp, Geoff Walker and Mark Larsen with a decisive win over last year’s defending champs Zoe Davies, Suzanne Tyrrell, Dave Tyrrell and Daniel Davies with a score of 19-10. The game was fairly even to start but Larso’s team soon kicked out to a good lead, handling the tricky conditions a lot better than team Davies.
