Club Windang, Pennant Teams

ROUND 3 – OPEN PENNANT TEAMS

Round 3 commences Saturday 17th February. This weeks teams are listed below.

Round 2 proved to be very disappointing with all grades losing. Grade 1 had a bye. Both Grade 7 sides at least picking up 2 rink wins each, but could not overcome the large deficit on the third rink. The total rink wins were 5.5 out of a possible 18.

A very difficult time for the selectors this week with 12 unavailable players, but this will be the same for the next few weeks with 14 players unavailable (five from one grade) during round 6 which would be just after the grading round. A few players have asked to be moved from their position or from their grade for various reasons. The selectors have considered these changes and you will notice this in the selections this week.

Important Update – Grade 7.1 V Figtree Sports commences at 9:30am.

While watching the home games last week it was obvious that our teams could not manage some of the basics of playing fours, let alone Pennants! I suppose this should be expected as we have a lot of social bowlers that want to play pennants.
