2023-2024 Women’s Major Singles
Our 2023-2024 Season Women’s Major Singles Championship has now been decided.
The Major Singles Championship started with 20 entries, with Ann Murray and Nicolle Grogan left to battle it out in the final. Ann Murray was determined to go one step further than last year after going down to Sharon Heferen in the 2022-2023 final.
To get to the final Ann, overcame Kim Hart in a semi thriller 25-23. Nicolle made her way through the semis, defeating Jan Howe 25-22.
With the scores even throughout the match, Ann pulled away in the final stages to claim the title. Congratulations to both players for making the final, and of course to our 2023-2024 Women’s Major Singles Champion Ann Murray!
Thank you to our markers and umpires who helped out during the Championship matches. As a trial, this years Major Championships will be managed on the Bowls Link system.
