Bowls Update

It was a slow start to the 2022-2023 season with several rounds of the Club Fours being washed out due to the rain.

2022-23 MINOR FOURS

Our inaugural Minor Fours was completed on Sunday 17th July with a fantastic Final going down to an extra end.

The finalists were Zoe Davies, Blake Perry, Rod Braid & John Penno up against Les Tyrrell, Daryl Davidson, Stuart Tyrrell & Ivan Switzer.

It was an exciting game to watch with team Penno getting off to a good start with a lead of 10-3 after 6 ends. Team Switzer managing to hold on with the scores locked at 13 all on 15 ends. The lead changing 3 times in the next few ends with Team Switzer picking up 2 shots by an umpire’s measure, on the last end to force an extra end. Team Penno eventually hanging on to win the Final by 1 shot. 18-17. Well done to all players involved in the competition and congratulations to our 2023 Minor Fours Winners and Runners Up.

2022-23 MAJOR FOURS

Our Major Fours has now reached the Semi Final Stage with the games rescheduled several times due to 3 washed out rounds. Well done everyone so far and thanks for getting those matches completed.

Windang Bowling Club Events are classed as Open Gender, and it was great to see some of our Women’s Club members joining in on the action.
