What’s Happening This Week.

Hello Bowlers! Just an update of what’s happening at the start of the new 2022-2023 season.

SOCIAL BOWLS

  • Wednesday and Friday Social Bowls are as normal.
  • Saturday’s leading up to pennants will be Nominated Fours. Starting 2nd July. Please wear Club Uniform (top & bottom) for these events.

CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS

  • Club Fours (Majors & Minors) commence on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd.
  • Junior player Zoe Davies is involved in several State & Zone Representative fixtures and has been granted dispensation during the Minor Fours. This is noted on the draw. Please utilise the spare days as required.
  • Club Triples commence Saturday 23rd July.
  • Please organise with your teams if you intend to play earlier and post on the sheet provided at the club.

MEN’S PENNANTS

  • The first round of the Men’s Pennant competition commences Saturday 13th August. The proposed sides and draws have been posted on the Notice Board. Please endeavour to play in your allocated position and with your team whenever possible.
  • Saturday Social Bowls have been set aside for Nominated Fours to assist you with your team practice and set up. We have a trial scheduled at Bellambi on Saturday July 30th for Division 3 & 4 players. We’ll have the team notification up shortly. Please let the selectors know if you are unavailable. We will utilise players from Division 4/2 and the spares list if required.
  • In-house trials will also be organised for Saturday 30th July and Saturday 6th August.
  • There is still confusion regarding the concept of the Men’s Pennant, so if you have any queries, feel free to direct them to the Bowls Coordinator. We may have to seek clarification from the Zone or State M/C if we can’t answer your questions.

REVIEWS

A review of several of our Bowls Policies will occur over the coming weeks. With the introduction of our Open Gender Championships, State Open & Single Gender Pennants, some of our policies require updating. We’ll communicate as much as possible via our Website and Notice Board throughout the process.
