2022 Men’s Pennant Nominations Due 1st June 2022
For the information of our Men’s Pennant Bowlers.
At this stage we have 56 bowlers who have indicated their interest in playing in the upcoming Single Gender Pennant Competition starting in August. I thank you all for your response.
- Grade 2 – 4 players
- Grade 3 – 7 players
- Grade 4 – 6 players
- Grade 5 – 5 players
- Grade 6 – 10 players
- Grade 7 – 15 players
- Ungraded – 9 players
Our selectors are meeting soon to determine which divisions we intend to nominate for. Club nominations must be submitted to the Zone no later than Wednesday 1st June 2022.
I encourage our members who want to be considered for the 2022 Men’s Pennant Competition to get their names in this week!
For those players who are waiting for the nominations to be submitted and approved, and then decide to place their name on the list after 1st June, there will be 56 dedicated members in front of you.
If we based our decision on the number of players available above it’s obvious that our nominations might look like this.
- 1 x Division 2
- 1 x Division 3
- 2 x Division 4
This allows only 8 reserve players across the 4 Divisions, which could be difficult to manage subject to player unavailability.
Our nomination sheet was posted late January 2022 so you’ve had plenty of time to make a decision. The response has been disappointing to say the least, so it looks like we’ll be using the crystal ball again, rather than make an informed decision for the benefit of our members. This is never fair to our members who have worked hard during the year, and have done the right thing by putting their names down.
The Men’s Pennant Competition schedule is shown below. Club Windang will also be hosting the Zone Playoffs.
