Windang Win Zone 16 Grade 2 Pennant!

Congratulations to Windang Grade 2 Pennant Side.

Windang have won their spot in the Bowls NSW Grade 2 State Pennant Finals.

The Grand Finals held at Warilla, our boys were up against a strong Wiseman’s Park Wollongong City Side.

Windang got off to a comfortable start and were never bested throughout the contest.

Winning the flag with a decisive 65 – 50 win over WPWC.

Never too short of supporters, Windang had their cheer squad on hand to help the lads get over the line.

Finishing in second place in a strong section, after wins against Dapto Citizens (73 – 54) and Bomaderry (67 – 50) in the final 2 rounds, Windang had to win every game to remain in the contest.

Defeating Fairy Meadow at Thirroul 68 – 47 in the Minor Semi Final. Then backing up the next day against a strong Warilla outfit at Warilla. They accounted for Warilla in the Final 67 – 52. A week later, they went head to head against WPWC at Warilla. Finishing strong with a  65 – 50 win over “Wiso’s” and coming up with a  5 game winning streak to take out the coveted No2 Pennant.

Our boys head on down to St George’s Basin for the State Pennant Finals scheduled at the end of July. Drawn in Section 2 the side goes up against Merrylands, Nowra and Singleton RSL.
